January 24, 2010
Brewery: Maumee Bay Brewing Company
Beer: Czech Pilsner
Beersperts: Scott B, Joby J, Adam H
Beerspert Panel Rating: 4.7

Notes from the brewery:
Crafted with the finest ingredients, this historic hometown brew dates back to 1838. With a sparkling dry taste it is a fine light beer with all the qualities of greatness.

ABV: 5.2%
IBU: 14
CAL (12 oz.):

Notes from the Beersperts:
Scott B:
Bold yet unsophisticated.  The beer someone would drink at an OSU tailgate.
Rating: 3

Joby J:
Drinkability is high, I would consider it along the lines of a Miller Lite or Bud Light. I could see myself throwing back a few of these during a game.
Rating: 6

Adam H:
Starts off with a sweet flavor, finishes off dry.  Every time it keeps you going back for more beer. I would drink it at a tailgate or BBQ but I wouldn't shop for it.
Rating: 5

  1. You forgot to mention that Buckeye beer is the big brother to Buckeye Light which was sold to the Peter Hand Brewing company who eventually sold their brands to Miller. Buckeye Light went on to become Miller Lite. Same orginal recipe.
