Fatheads Headhunter IPA
Beer Review

Fatheads Headhunter IPA is a beer that has won many awards the past few years. It has only been available at the brewpub until recently. I bought a 4 pack and decided to review the bottled version. I've had it on tap before but check out this review to see how it tastes from a bottle, Cheers!

Neil House Brewery - Interview Patrick Kelleher

When we went to the Columbus Winter Beerfest in January 2012, we conducted several cool brewer interviews. Unfortunately we had some issues with our audio and at the time I had decided not to release the interviews. This year's Columbus Beerfest inspired me to look at the footage again and I decided that two of the interviews were still watchable even though the audio wasn't perfect.

In this episode I talk to Patrick Kelleher, the owner and brewer at Neil House Brewery in Columbus, Ohio. He started out on a small brewing system that could only handle a barrel at a time. Neil House just upgraded to a 3.5 barrel system and Patrick couldn't be more pleased.

Rivertown Brewing Company - Interview Jason Roeper

The Columbus Beerfest is coming up Saturday, August 25th at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio. I recommend that you head to and see if they have any tickets left. They are going to have tons of great local breweries, food trucks and music and I expect Craig Johnson, the organizer of the event, will put on another amazing event.

Well, the excitement of the upcoming festivities inspired me to take a look back into the BBA archive.

Last January, the Better Beer Authority went to the Columbus Winter Beerfest and interviewed a ton of great brewers. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the audio and the interviews didn't turn out like I had hoped. After looking at one of the old interviews with Jason Roeper from Rivertown Brewing Company in Cincinnati, I decided that the content of the interview outweighed the distorted audio. I'm putting it out there so you can decide for yourself. Feel the excitement of the beerfest and learn what it's like to open up a new brewery from a guy who had the guts to do it himself. Enjoy!

Delaware Brewery Road Trip 2 - 16 Mile Brewing Company

After visiting Dogfish Head, we headed to 16 Mile Brewing Company in Georgetown, Delaware. We were excited to visit and highlight this brewery because they were the first brewery to ever send us beer for review. It was great to finally meet the men behind the beer. It was a casual, relaxed atmosphere and it was fun being in a smaller brewery where we could be a little more hands on. Make sure and check out their beers next time you are in the state of Delaware.
